For today’s Fishbone Friday, I wanted to share this recent repair and alteration of a customer’s Mothership Faberge Egg. To my knowledge, I was the first glass artist to replace the internals of a Faberge Egg with worked sections when a customer needed a repair, but wanted something more. This crushed opal alteration not only serves as a great way to show how a broken piece can be made into something aesthetically pleasing and desirable again.
